Hello, I'm Pei Qi!
I graduated from Singapore Institute of Technology's Physiotherapy program in 2025, with a strong interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Through my clinical placements across various institutions, I had the chance to explore different areas of physiotherapy and am grateful for the skills I developed and the mentors who shaped me into the clinician I am today.
My interest in rehab began during my teenage years as a Team Singapore gymnast, where I worked closely with physiotherapists and sports doctors. Experiencing first-hand how gradual improvements impacted my performance sparked a passion for injury management and rehabilitation.
I’m incredibly fortunate to begin my physiotherapy journey with One Percent Rehab, where I will be guided by experienced and like-minded seniors who will help me grow and become a better clinician. While I have enjoyed exploring different fields of physiotherapy, musculoskeletal rehab feels like home to me. I particularly enjoy helping people manage acute injuries and designing exercise programs tailored to their rehabilitation and fitness goals.
My special interests lie in treating knee and ankle injuries, shaped by my background in gymnastics and ultimate frisbee. Having a huge involvement in these sports has taught me to appreciate the mechanics and mental journey behind every injury. I’ve also been lifting weights since 2016, which also helps me relate to gym-goers navigating setbacks after an injury. I am a strong advocate for resistance training as a foundation for healthy ageing- it is something I believe everyone can and should be doing!
“Every day is different, and some days are better than others, but no matter how challenging the day, I get up and live it”
Outside the clinic, you will find me bouldering, gaming, and spending time with my cat and loved ones. My ideal weekend? A slow morning, a solid gym session, and an evening of games with friends.
